SHIBA
If you’re interested in helping seniors navigate their Medicare benefits, another option is SHIBA. We have a locally-run office that is always taking volunteer counselors.
We go through training, so even if you don’t know much about Medicare, you can still join us at the MCSC SHIBA (serving in Hood River, Gilliam, Sherman, Wasco, and Wheeler Counties):
